A second portable paperback guide from the Wild Seed Project that profiles 48 vigorous, low-growing plants and helpfully lists twenty plant “guilds”— groups of groundcovers that pair well together because they share similar growth rates and light and moisture requirements. Lovely drawings and photographs demonstrate that ground level plantings can create a beautiful, textural tapestry of foliage, flowers, stems and seeds.
