A MAPN Monthly Presentation

With 600,000 residents across 72 square miles, the Mystic River Watershed, located northwest of downtown Boston, is an ecological area full of thriving communities and robust, connected riverine open spaces. Serving as a hub for fishing, trade, and industry throughout history, the watershed has also become susceptible to pollution and environmental degradation, limiting its role as a thriving habitat for plants, animals, and people.

Join Karl Alexander, Greenways Program Senior Manager, for a presentation and discussion on the work of the Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA), a regional NGO working daily with community members and key stakeholders to protect and restore the Mystic River and its tributaries. You are invited to learn about the many outcomes MyRWA projects and programming are achieving for the watershed ecosystem, from ecological restoration to improved access to nature, as well as share your vision for thriving and welcoming landscapes throughout Massachusetts.
